Looks NOTHING like DiCaprio … and, hopefully … ACTS nothing like Leo!
Kate Winslet’s Son Debuts on Red Carpet, Looks Like Young DiCaprio

Kate Winslet’s grown-up children are stepping into the spotlight, following in their famous mother’s footsteps. Her son’s recent debut, in particular, has captured plenty of attention, showing that the next generation of Winslets is ready to make their mark.

Kate Winslet couldn’t hide her pride as she posed with her rarely-seen son, Joe Anders, at the world premiere of her new film Goodbye June in London.
The 50-year-old star made her directorial debut with the family drama, which was written by her 21-year-old son Joe. Joe, whose father is director Sam Mendes, 60, looked every bit the young Hollywood gentleman in a classic black tuxedo paired with a crisp white shirt, matching trousers, and polished shoes.
Kate and Sam split in 2010 after seven years of marriage, and Joe later adopted his stage name, Anders. The mother-son duo’s appearance together was a rare and heartwarming glimpse into their close bond.

People quickly began saying that Kate’s son bears a striking resemblance to a young Leonardo DiCaprio, her longtime friend and co-star:
- At first glance he reminded me of Leo DiCaprio.
- He sorta looks like a young version of the current Leonardo DiCaprio.
Earlier, the actress’s daughter also made her red carpet debut, adding another special family moment to the spotlight. She appeared on the red carpet in a breathtaking strapless emerald gown adorned with orange leaf embellishments and a dramatic train.
The dress drew immediate parallels to the iconic green gown Winslet wore to the 1998 Academy Awards, an event she attended alongside Mia’s father, director James Edward Threapleton. It wasn’t just the gown that stirred memories—the grace with which Mia carried herself amplified the déjà vu effect.

Initially, Mia envisioned a different path—she aspired to become a marine biologist. But by her early teens, she discovered a deep passion for acting. Determined to earn her place without relying on her mother’s stature, she independently pursued auditions and signed with agents.

One admirer speculated, “I wonder if the dress is a nod to the Givenchy dress Kate wore for Titanic at the Oscars; they both look gorgeous in this shade of green.” Another added, “That green tone is her color, for sure. I had no idea Kate even had a daughter. She definitely got her beauty and grace from her mother.” A third observer noted, “She isn’t a carbon copy of her mother, but she does embody her in her posture.”
Here, you can see what the actual Titanic passengers looked like — the real-life people who inspired the film’s characters.
