17 Questionable Designers’ Choices That Left Us Dumbfounded

Creativity is key when coming up with new things. However, it might also lead to situations in which newer doesn’t necessarily mean better. Innovations like the steps that are impossible to see or a pattern on a hoodie that makes it look permanently wet might be hilarious to some and extremely frustrating to others.

We at Now I’ve Seen Everything want you to take these designers’ hiccups light-heartedly and simply have fun looking at some fine examples of innovation gone wrong.

“I have no idea how they turn this off.”

“I can’t help but feel that they missed the boat.”

“Steps that you can’t see.”

“Placing a bench so close to the edge of a roof that when a slight wind blows while it’s raining, the bench gets wet.”

The pockets on women’s jeans

“Got this new hoodie and everybody has asked me why I’m wet and I have to tell them it’s just the design of the hoodie...”

“This is not vitamin D — it’s an emoji on a bottle of magnesium.”

“These shoes let me take the road with me.”

A pair of gloves in which all the fingers are the same length

“Every time I do the dishes, I switch the light on and off.”

A very public restroom

“My oven uses a touchscreen, so whenever I open it, steam gets on the touchscreen and messes with the settings.”

“This nurse-themed sticker pack with a temp of 98.6 °C
(209 °F)”

These benches are tilted back and have no drainage system, so the water just sits there for days after a rainstorm.

A door with no purpose whatsoever

“10-year-old me lighting up any room in The Sims

A sink attached to a toilet, forming the perfect slide

Which of these designs do you think has gone the most terribly wrong?
