Having a crush on someone is one of the most normal and expected things to happen. Especially when you work together and even have intimate scenes on a regular basis, feeling might get a little but too real. While in many cases, the two people involved move their relationship to the next level, in other cases nothing happens.

1. Friends’ David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston

Did you know that Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer had crushes on each other while their characters, Rachel Green and Ross Geller, became romantically involved (because we didn’t)? Schwimmer shared that he had a significant crush on Aniston since the first season of Friends. But, like Rachel, Aniston didn’t reciprocate his crush until later. Even though the 2 stars knew about each other’s feelings, they chose to remain friends and channel their love for each other into the characters they played.

2. Twilight’s Ashley Greene and Jackson Rathbone

They were an on-screen couple in the Twilight franchise, but it turns out that Ashley Greene had a big crush on Jackson Rathbone that she developed almost immediately after meeting him. She said that her crush didn’t last during the entire time they filmed, and she didn’t tell Rathbone about it, but she highly suspects that he knew it and just didn’t like her back romantically.

3. Stranger Things’ David Harbour and Winona Ryder

Harbour and Ryder are currently co-stars on Stranger Things, but the actor’s crush on his female co-star dates further back. “Professionally, I’ve had a crush on Winona Ryder for a long time. I grew up with her movies. To be let into that world is a dream come true,” Harbour confessed in a recent interview.

4. On the Road’s Kristen Stewart and Amy Adams

When Kristen Stewart was asked about her crushes on other celebrities, she mentioned Amy Adams right away. She said that Adams is her favorite actress, and since the pair got to work together and Stewart saw how awesome she was, her crush blossomed.

5. Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe and Helena Bonham Carter

The Harry Potter reunion brought the former co-stars closer together, and Daniel Radcliffe reminisced about how he used to have a crush on Helena Bonham Carter when they were filming the movies. On the last day of shooting, he gave her a note that read, “It was a pleasure being your costar (...) I do love you, and I just wish I had been born 10 years earlier. I might have been in with a chance.”

6. Empire of the Sun’s Courteney Cox and Jim Carrey

Courteney Cox openly admitted that she had a “crush for sure” on Jim Carrey. What made Cox fall for Carrey was his effortless sense of humor; she even believed that he was the funniest person ever. Luckily, this crush didn’t go with the wind, and even though they didn’t end up dating, they became very good friends.

7. A Cinderella Story’s Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray

“I definitely had a crush on him. We had a few kissing scenes in the movie and I remember feeling pretty nervous about that, but then we became friends, and I wasn’t so nervous anymore,” Hilary Duff explained. Duff and Murray met on the set of A Cinderella Story and portrayed star-crossed lovers.

8. A Walk to Remember’s Mandy Moore and Shane West

A Walk to Remember is not exactly the most lighthearted movie there is, as it depicts upsetting themes, but during a rewatch, its leading star, Mandy Moore, cheered for the couple and shared that she had “the biggest crush ever” on co-star Shane West in real life.

9. Destination Wedding’s Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder

While interviewed, Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves shared memories of their first meeting. Ryder shyly mentioned her big healthy crush on Reeves. He matched her energy saying that he had a crush on her too. The stars of Destination Wedding confess that their crushes are still alive and, in fact, raging.

10. Pretty Little Liars’ Lucy Hale and Drew Van Acker

Aside from being an actress, Lucy Hale, who played Aria, is also a singer. In 2014, she released a song titled “Lie a Little Better” that describes her having a serious crush on someone, and fans got curious about who the lyrics were referring to. Years later, she revealed that it was dedicated to her co-star Drew Van Acker, who played Jason. She said that she wanted to tease people’s interest for longer, and that’s why it took her so long to finally tell her fans the truth.

11. Friends’ Matthew Perry and Jennifer Aniston

The duo met 3 years before Friends started shooting, and Matthew Perry revealed that he was “immediately taken by Jennifer Aniston.” He tried asking her out, which she declined, but said that they could still be friends. Then when they had to film Friends together, he realized that he was still crushing on her badly, so it became awkward to even greet her. The actor would constantly ask himself silly questions, like, “How long can I look at her? Is 3 seconds too long?”

12. Babylon’s Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt

During a recent interview, Margot Robbie revealed that she had a crush on Brad Pitt and wasn’t too shy to make a move, either. Robbie and Pitt are co-stars in the 2022 movie, Babylon, and the actress made sure to include a spontaneous kiss during filming.

“That wasn’t in the script,” Robbie revealed, “but I thought, ’When else am I gonna get the chance to kiss Brad Pitt? I’m just gonna go for it.’”
