15 Movie Mistakes That Not Everyone Noticed Them

Watching movies is a super fun and popular pastime. But let’s not forget, making a film is no walk in the park. It takes a whole lot of time and money to make one. Even the most amazing movies can have tiny mistakes. In honor of these bloopers, we’ve made a list of sneaky errors that went unnoticed by most viewers.

1. Titanic (1997)

We all remember the young and beautiful Kate Winslet as Rose’s character in Titanic. Remember the scene when she raises her head so we can see the beauty mark or mole on her left cheek. Then again, that same mark appears on her right cheek throughout the movie and when she’s talking to Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio). If you haven’t noticed it yet, check it out again.

2. Braveheart (1995)

In the past, the Celtic tribes used blue body paint (woad) during the battles, but it stopped around the end of the Roman era — 800 years before the Braveheart film events. In Scotland, kilts were worn hundreds of years after Wallace’s time. Also, the organized rules for kilts and patterns used in the movie were actually Victorian inventions, which should have been much later than this film’s time.

3. Don’t Look Up (2021)

In the final moments of the film Don’t Look Up, an interesting continuity error can be spotted. As the credits roll, a bag belonging to Jonah Hill’s character is shown floating in the vastness of space. However, in the next scene, the same bag is seen being held by the character himself.

4. Dirty Dancing (1987)

In Dirty Dancing, the beloved ’’Baby’’ character went from a shy girl to a confident teenager with her dances and moves. However, something wasn’t just right because Baby’s denim shorts were in the 1980s style, but the movie took place in 1963.

5. King Arthur (2004)

This movie takes place around 400 A.D., yet we see the knights on the saddles with stirrups. However, it wasn’t until centuries after the fall of the Western Roman Empire that metal stirrups were introduced in Europe.

6. The Lost City (2022)

In the movie The Lost City, the character played by Sandra Bullock wears a tight suit with no pockets. This raises the question of where she would have kept her phone.

7. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)

The Harry Potter movie events take place in the 1990s. In the film, Dudley Dursley (Harry Melling) sits in the living room in shorts with the G-Unit logo at the bottom. The fun fact is that it’s a brand that 50 Cent founded in 2003.

8. The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021 )

During one scene, there is a scene where a shelf of books appears. One of the books on the shelf is Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell which is a magical historical fiction published in 2004. However, the movie is set in the 1980s, which makes the presence of this book a mistake.

9. The Danish Girl (2015)

The Danish Girl takes place in the 1926s. In the movie, we see the women in fitted clothes and costumes. Yet, the women followed a shapeless or columnar silhouette in their clothing then.

10. Django Unchained: Django Time Travels (2012)

Indeed, Django’s sunglasses made Jamie Foxx’s character look cool in this movie and attracted many of us. The fun fact is that the movie takes place in the 1858s, and those shades weren’t around then.

11. Pretty Woman (1990)

Vivian (Julia Roberts) stole our hearts in the beloved rom-com Pretty Woman. In one scene, while Vivian was taking a bite from a croissant, suddenly, upon taking the second bite, it wasn’t a croissant anymore but a pancake.

12. Notting Hill (1999)

One of the unforgettable goofs in this lovely movie could be when William (Hugh Grant) was sitting in a hotel suite across from Anna (Julia Roberts) to interview her. The two wide, brass door handles didn’t go unrecognized when they quickly changed to narrow, brass, and closed-lattice finger plates in the follow-up scene.

13. Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)

there is a scene where the character Evelyn is holding a piece of paper with instructions on it. A strange detail is that the word “breathe” is misspelled on the note. But later when she looks at the note again, the word is spelled correctly.

14. The Little Mermaid (1989)

Carlotta brings plates to the table for the meal. Each plate has a silver handle. However, when Sebastian runs across the table, one of the silver handles changes to gold.

15. Marry Me (2022)

In Marry Me, Jennifer Lopez’s phone screen is still active, even though she has already finished the call, according to the plot.

16. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

In the climax of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, a single mistake in the final Quidditch match becomes evident within mere milliseconds. In this particular scene, an oversight occurs where the seat Harry is occupying is visible. This seat, which is usually present during filming to maintain consistency, should have been removed but was inadvertently overlooked during the editing.

Regardless of the mistakes we may discover in our beloved movies, they remain cherished by us. However, there are moments when we stumble upon hidden gems, known as Easter eggs, within animated films, and the feeling of discovering them is truly delightful.
