16 Tiny Movie Details You Likely Never Noticed

When a movie is being created, many people are involved in the areas of their expertise. This means that there is a variety of ideas and different perspectives that make a movie unique. This includes even the smallest details that very few people will notice and maybe after they’ve watched a movie or series multiple times. We thought we’d share some of these details that we’d noticed.

1. Knives Out (2019)

In Knives Out, several potential suspects use their iPhones periodically in the film. The only character not seen using an iPhone is the culprit, Ransom, played perfectly by Chris Evans.

Apple does not let filmmakers show villains using iPhones on camera, movie director Rian Johnson said in a new interview with Vanity Fair. “Apple, they let you use iPhones in movies, but—and this is very pivotal if you’re ever watching a mystery movie—bad guys cannot have iPhones on camera,” Johnson said

2. The Harry Potter franchise

Once, Alastor Moody transformed Draco Malfoy into a ferret. A pet that sits inside Albus’ cage refers to that episode.

Attentive viewers noticed the food preferences of the characters. Albus Dumbledore’s favorite sweets, for example, are sherbet lemon. You can often see these on his table. Even the password to the professor’s office is the same as the name of this dessert.

3. Breaking Bad

There were 62 episodes of Breaking Bad. The 62nd element on the periodic table is Samarium. Samarium is used to treat lung cancer, something one of the two main characters was fighting against.

4. Reservoir Dogs

After the robbery of a jewelry store, Mr. Pink says that someone turned them in to find out who could work for the police. Later, we find out that the traitor is Mr. Orange. But we can see a hint earlier in the movie. When Mr. Pink, Mr. White, and Mr. Orange meet at the appointed place, we can see that white and pink bottles stand on one side, while orange bottles stand on the other.

5. Aquaman

In Aquaman, attentive viewers found references to Wonder Woman. In the scene after the credits, one of the newspapers has the headline, “Wonder Woman Nixes Aquaman Dating Rumors.”

6. Forrest Gump

In Forrest Gump, in the opening scene of the movie, we can see the protagonist dressed in a stylish suit that contrasts with his dirty and worn-out sneakers. But this is not the only thing that catches the eye. If we take a closer look at the shoes, we can find a little slip from the film’s art team. The laces are completely clean and shiny, while the rest of the footwear is covered in mud.

7. Guardians of the Galaxy

Each line on the characters’ prison outfits corresponds to the crimes they committed.

8. Inglourious Basterds

When Hans Landa questions the farmer, he touches the wrist of one of the daughters momentarily to feel her pulse and understand whether the family is hiding something or not.

9. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

During Newt’s questioning, we can see the necklace from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in Graves vest pocket. Graves will give it to Credence Barebone in the shape of Elder Wand.

10. Little Women

A noticeable costume decision in Little Women was for Laurie and Joe to constantly exchange outfits. The costume designer deliberately did this swap to show how close their bond was.

11. Pulp Fiction

We admire Quentin Tarantino’s sense of humor. In Reservoir Dogs, Steve Buscemi, who played Mr. Pink, said that he never left tips for servers. 2 years later, he played a waiter in Pulp Fiction.

12. Spider-Man

In the third part of this film series, you can see Mary Jane’s photo that was taken by Peter Parker in the first movie.

13. Men in Black

There’s the same incidental character in all 3 installments of this movie. The part was performed by Chloe Sonnenfeld, the film director’s daughter. You can see her on the computer screen in the first part, in the post office in the second part, and as a hippie girl in the third.

14. Inception

In the hotel scene, Ellen Page’s hair is tied in a bun. The film’s creators asked the actress to do this so that they wouldn’t have to wonder how her hair should look in the weightless state.

15. Bad Teacher

After breaking up with her boyfriend, Cameron Diaz’s character wears worn-out Louboutins. But at the end of the movie, she flaunts a new pair — she preferred to spend the money she saved not on breast implants but on a new pair of expensive shoes.

16. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Another small detail that adds to the Harry Potter universe is hidden in Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix. As the movie progresses and Umbridge’s character becomes even eviler, the shade of pink she wears also becomes darker.

Had you noticed these tiny details that these movies’ and series’ creators thought about very carefully?
