When performing common household chores, such as cleaning or doing any other sort of regular task, we usually do so in the way we were taught by our family. However, most of the time those methods aren’t the most efficient. Thankfully, nowadays there are countless tips and tricks online which teach us how to do them quicker and cheaper.

Now I’ve Seen Everything collected a few clever hacks that can make our lives much easier. Try them yourself! Don’t miss our bonus at the end of the article.

Clean your window sliders easily.

  • Press a toilet paper roll slightly to insert it into the track of the window slider.
  • Insert the vacuum cleaner nozzle over the open part of the toilet paper roll as shown.
  • Turn the vacuum on and it will suck away all the grime and dust on the window slider.
  • Your window sliders are now clean.

Get rid of split ends on your hair with the help of a razor.

  • Brush your hair thoroughly, separate a small strand, and twist it several times.
  • Carefully, move the razor blade downward and shave the protruding hairs without pushing in the blade.
  • Shave off any protruding hairs. Do the same with the rest of the strands.

You can see the whole process here.

Sweep up hair without it sticking to the broom.

  • Remove hair from the broom.
  • Wrap the broom in a plastic bag as shown in picture 1.
  • Sweep the hair up.
  • Pick it up with the bag, carefully, and tie it up.

Create scented fresh air inside your car with wet tissues.

  • Take a scented wet tissue.
  • Place a small part of it inside the car’s vent.
  • Turn the ventilation on and enjoy some fresh air.

Remove the label from a jar.

  • Soak the jar in hot water to soften the label.
  • Spray or pour a little olive oil on a sponge and rub at the remaining residue from the label (we apply olive oil directly to the label in our video).
  • Remove the label and wash the jar afterward to get the oil off.

Remove a multi-outlet extension cord from sight.

  • Take a plastic container that fits the size of your multi-outlet extension cord.
  • Cut holes in the walls of the container as shown in picture 2.
  • Put your outlet in the container so that the cords are in the holes you’ve cut out.
  • Cover the container with a lid.

Quickly remove cherry pits with a bottle.

  • Take chopsticks and a narrow-necked bottle. Remove the cherry stem and place the berry on the neck of the bottle, bottom-up.
  • Gently poke through the berry with the stick.
  • When the pit falls to the bottom of the bottle, set the berry aside.
  • Remove pits from other berries the same way.

Make your nail polish dry faster.

  • If you want your nail polish to dry faster, use cold water.
  • After applying the nail polish, dip your fingers or toes in cold water and hold them there for some time.
  • Gently remove excess water with a towel.

Shine your shoes with egg whites.

  • To clean your shoes, take an egg, a plastic bag, and a dishwashing sponge.
  • Put the shoes on the bag. Separate the yolk from the white. You won’t need the yolk.
  • Rub the white over the entire surface of the shoes in circular motions with the sponge until your shoes get the desired shine.

Bonus: Eat your Chinese takeout as it is.

You don’t have to deal with the mess of tangled noodles in a box anymore. All you have to do is unfold the box and lay it flat to make it into a plate. This saves you a lot of time and effort not having to look for separate plates or getting a new one.
