10+ True Tales That Are Creepy Enough to Be Fiction

Revisiting the Harry Potter films feels like coming home, but even a familiar home has its hidden corners. Beyond the wand-waving and epic battles lies a level of detail that borders on the insane. These 9 details prove that the magic was always in the little things. Are you ready to see the movies in a whole new light?
In Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Aunt Petunia isn’t cooking—she’s dyeing Dudley’s old clothes grey to make Harry’s school uniform. This little detail only appears in the book.
Do you remember when Hermione thought Snape was cursing Harry’s broom during a Quidditch match? Later on, we find out that Snape wasn’t trying to hurt Harry at all. He was actually using a counter-curse to stop Professor Quirrell’s curse. Even though Snape doesn’t like Harry, it’s clear that he goes out of his way to protect him from the very beginning.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004): Every time Hermione appears in class out of nowhere, we can actually see the Time-Turner around her neck, which she usually hides in the following shots.
I’ve seen The Chamber of Secrets countless times, but while rewatching it this evening, I noticed a brilliant detail. Unlike modern-day Hogwarts robes which feature specific house badges, Moaning Myrtle’s robes—frozen in time from 50 years ago—feature what appears to be a general Hogwarts school crest. If that’s the case, it’s a wonderful detail by the filmmakers to depict the themes of time and change. © Drulest / Reddit
