Britney Spears Is a “New Auntie” to NSYNC’s Singer Lance Bass’ Twin Babies

Britney Spears finally met her longtime friend Lance Bass’ twins and she couldn’t be more excited about it! The singer shared photos of the moment on social media and we can’t cope with all the cuteness. Check them out!

Lance Bass might have just found himself a loving babysitter.

Britney Spears recently celebrated on social media getting to meet Lance Bass’ 20-month old twins, Violet Betty and Alexander James, who were welcomed by Bass and his husband, Michael Turchin, via surrogate in October 2021. “I’m a new auntie for Lance’s babies!!! They are absolutely gorgeous babies,” she wrote in a rare post on Twitter.

In the adorable photos Spears shared, that features herself with the twins and Bass, her husband Sam Asghari is also present, standing next to his wife.

Spears and Bass discovered they’re actually distant relatives.

Britney isn’t wrong in calling herself an auntie to Bass’ kids. That is because in 2021, the former boy band member found out he was related to Spears as a sixth cousin, once removed. The revelation came in an episode of 2 Lies & A Leaf, a Youtube series. “Are you kidding me? This is amazing. Oh my gosh,” Bass reacted the moment he was told of his relation to Spears. “Look, I wanted to be related to the Queen. Well, now I’m related to the queen of pop!”

He also went on to express how close the two have always been and how being related just felt right. “That is so crazy though, ’cause I feel like she’s my little sister, and this whole time she’s been my little cousin. And it makes sense because we were born an hour from each other. This is so cool,” he said. “For some reason, I always felt like we looked like family, even when we were kids. I mean, this means so much to me. She is like family to me, so the fact that we are blood-related is amazing.”
