Chrissy Teigen Couldn’t Take It Anymore and Responded Fiercely to Everyone Who Criticizes Her Motherhood

Nobody likes to be criticized, especially when it comes to such personal matters as family and raising children. But celebrities receive a lot of unsolicited advice and comments from strangers. Some prefer to ignore them, but model Chrissy Teigen couldn’t take it anymore and hit back at her critics.

Chrissy is used to criticism.

The model and her husband, John Legend, actively share their personal life on social media. As a result, they face a huge amount of criticism, especially when it comes to their children. “Any time I post a picture of them holding ribs or eating sausage, I get a lot of criticism. Vegans and vegetarians are mad and feel that we are forcing meat upon them at a young age. They freak out.”

“If they get a glimpse of the car seat, there’s a lot of buckle talk,” she said. “Maybe for half a second, the strap just slipped down! And TV is another big one. We have the TV on a lot in my house. John and I work on television. We love watching television,” Chrissy explained.

“Oh and the second they see a blue stripe [on a diaper] they’re like, ‘You’ve gotta change this baby!’ It’s pretty much everything,” she said, adding, “The comments affect me. Of course.”

But recently, she hit back at the commentators.

Over the weekend, The couple proudly showed off 3 of their kids, including the youngest, baby Esti, born in January, looking snuggly while in her father’s arms.

In the post, she shared a lovely story about the first time the couple first visited Venice back in 2007 when they were “crazy and child-free.” Despite a number of positive comments to her post, one person decided to focus on the way John Legend was carrying baby Esti, saying that the baby is positioned too low and that Teigen and her husband should learn how to wear the baby carrier ’’right.’’

The remark was followed by a graceful response.

Teigen then politely explained that “right” is how the baby is comfortable. ’’She doesn’t like to be high and tight and likes to look around and see her daddy. She is safe and happy,’’ she wrote, gracefully ending the discussion.

Some commenters scrutinized Teigen’s facial expression.

One follower even took time to analyze Teigen’s mood and facial expression and label them as postpartum depression, writing, ’’Anyone looking at Chrissy and thinks she might be going through postpartum depression? She is looking sad and distant in her photos.’’ But this time, Teigen wasn’t having it and she simply ignored the comment.

In one of the earlier interviews, Teigen revealed that it’s often not easy to stay cool when facing negative comments. ’’Sometimes I want to say something so badly, but it’s not worth it to me, and I need my mind to be clear. I’m much better at knowing the timing of when to say things and not to say things. It’s not because I’m scared to get the backlash. It’s that I don’t wanna deal with it,’’ she explained.

Some celebrities are not hesitant to share photos with their children, including moments of breastfeeding. However, it does not mean that everyone can give them advice. Raising children is a very personal matter and concerns only the family.
