Man Who Had 95% of His Body Tattooed Reveals Stunning Results of Removal Surgery

What began as a teenage decision at just 13 years old eventually turned Leandro de Souza into a national record-holder. In 2023, the Brazilian was officially named the most tattooed man in his country. With ink covering about 95% of his body — including his face, head, and even his eyelids — he has now begun documenting the long, painful process of tattoo removal, drawing thousands of followers to his journey online.

For years, Leandro was known for his extreme commitment to body art.

Reportedly, he had more than 170 tattoos, leaving almost no visible skin untouched. Over time, however, Leandro began to see his body differently. He admitted that he no longer felt comfortable in his own skin and that the tattoos didn’t reflect who he was anymore. “I didn’t feel good, it didn’t suit me anymore. It was a world of excess, which no longer did me any good. There came a time when I felt like a circus attraction,” he shared.

Tattoo removal is not simple.

Leandro says the pain of removal is even worse than getting tattooed. He described the laser sessions as “horrible.”

“If you imagine that a person goes there to remove one from their finger and already complains of pain, imagine a session on the entire face, which involves three types of laser,” he explained.

According to reports, the process can take up to 8 sessions. Specialists note that the effectiveness of tattoo removal depends on the size, color, and depth of the ink. Black ink usually fades more easily, while colored pigments tend to be more stubborn. Each session also carries the risk of scarring and skin sensitivity, making the journey both physically and emotionally challenging.

His transformation has drawn massive attention.

Leandro has been documenting his tattoo removal journey online, sharing photos and videos that highlight the dramatic changes. Parts of his face and body that were once completely covered in dark ink are now revealing lighter areas of his natural skin. His posts have drawn a wave of reactions from followers, who fill the comments with a mix of support, disbelief, and curiosity about his transformation.

  • Congratulations on your excellent work. He is a new man — more cheerful and with his self-esteem restored 😍
  • MUCH better without the inked face! I love tattoos. I have 2 half sleeves, but I cannot understand why anyone would tattoo their face?! This dude is handsome.
  • He is a new man. Handsome, happier, and has regained his self-esteem 😍
  • What a transformation. 🔥
  • Why did he do that? And the pain to heal! It got much better!👏
  • A big change is noticeable in his gaze, which used to be sad and empty, but is now full of hope.

His story reflects just how far someone can go in altering their body — and how equally demanding it can be to reverse that decision.

As he continues his treatment, he hopes his experience inspires others to think carefully before making permanent choices: “Think carefully before getting a face tattoo because I regret it. It hurts a lot, no matter how much anesthesia they use. But that’s part of the price for the things I did in the past.”

Every laser session strips away more than just ink — it peels back years of choices that no longer reflect who Leandro is. His transformation is painful, but it’s also proof that it’s never too late to rewrite your story.
