She recalls that time as a “total nightmare” and even calls it a “circus,” describing it as one of the hardest chapters in their relationship. Victoria explains how they felt the world was against them — and, to her shock, they even found themselves turning against each other.

Conversely, Victoria emphasizes that confronting the challenges together ultimately strengthened their family bonds. She takes pride in the fact that, despite everything, they stayed united and supported one another, which deepened their emotional connection.

Reflecting on that turbulent period, she says, “It was an absolute circus — and everyone loves it when the circus comes to town, right? Unless you’re in it.”

David also opened up about his side of the story.

David also reflected on the emotional toll when reports of his alleged affair with Ms. Loos hit the press. At that time, Victoria stayed in the UK to keep their sons, Brooklyn and Romeo, in school, leaving David feeling deeply isolated and facing immense personal challenges.

When asked how their marriage survived, David Beckham admitted the fear he felt playing football while Victoria struggled to manage the family crisis. He said, “I don’t know how we got through it, in all honestly. Victoria is everything to me. To see her hurt was incredibly difficult, but we’re fighters and at that time we needed to fight for each other, we needed to fight for our family.”

David emphasizes that their current life was worth every struggle. Despite daily emotional and physical strain, he navigated the turmoil hand-in-hand with Victoria, emerging stronger as a family.

After the Beckhams addressed the alleged affair in their Netflix documentary, the woman at the center of the scandal spoke out again — most recently in a 60 Minutes Australia interview in March 2025, insisting she has always told the truth.

“I think it was very brave to stand up to them,” she said. “I stuck to the truth. I never exaggerated. I never lied. Why? Because I was going up against the most powerful media couple in the world, with endless money for PR and lawyers. All I had was the truth.”

She claimed that while working as Beckham’s assistant in Madrid in 2003, she “gave in” to David and began an affair while Victoria was away — only for him to later leave her for someone else.

“It was inappropriate, and I knew it was wrong, but I was hooked,” she admitted. “I fell for every cliché he fed me. Two weeks later, at Ronaldo’s birthday, he walked out with a gorgeous model. That was a tough night. I realized I’d just been played.”

Now 48, Luz says she wishes she had handled things differently but is proud she stood her ground. She explained she went public to maintain control, “If someone tries to humiliate me or smear me, I have to stand up for myself. I think I always will.”
