The series Charmed was released over 20 years ago, and many people still remember and love it. Overall, it had 8 seasons with the participation of more than 1,500 people. We decided to check and see how the actors who played the leading roles in this project look now, as well as what they are up to.

Phoebe Halliwell — Alyssa Milano

East News

Alyssa Milano got popular thanks to her role as Phoebe in the series Charmed. However, this was not the actress’s first project. At the age of 10, Milano played a little girl on the sitcom Who’s the Boss?. One year later she took part in staging a Jane Eyre play. Still, it’s the role of Phoebe that helped her gain a huge fan base.

After she finished working on Charmed, Milano took part in a commercial, she also participated in Blink-182’s music video, and in the series Mistresses. In 2013, she joined the Project Runway: All Stars reality show as a host and judge and evaluated participants for the last 5 seasons of the series.

In 2017, Milano was in the comedy series called Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later. In 2018, she appeared in Netflix’s dark comedy-drama Insatiable, where she portrayed Coralee Huggins-Armstrong. In 2022, we saw the detective flick Brazen starring Alyssa.

After completing her work in Charmed, Shannen produced a TV show, took part in a sitcom, and showed up in several reality shows. In 2015, together with her former Charmed co-star Holly Marie Combs, she starred in a road-trip reality show called Off the Map with Shannen & Holly. The 6-episode series followed the pair traveling across the southeastern United States, talking about the states they stopped in.

In 2017, the actress was diagnosed with a serious disease. Later she announced on her Instagram page that the disease had gone into a remission stage. Unfortunately, the illness returned in February 2020.

The role of Piper was also not the first one for Holly Marie Combs. She started to show up on screens at the end of the 1980s. For example, she had a small part in Oliver Stone’s Born on the Fourth of July. She then got famous in 1992 thanks to her main role in Picket Fences. The Charmed series, in its turn, brought Combs world fame and the attention of fans.

By the way, Holly was the only actress who was in the series from the pilot episode until the finale. She also became one of the project’s producers.

In 2010, Combs played the mother of the protagonist in the popular series Pretty Little Liars. She also had several minor roles in movies.

Cole Turner — Julian McMahon

The role of the villain, Cole, made Julian McMahon really successful. After that, he was in 2 Fantastic Four films as Doctor Doom, in Premonition with Sandra Bullock, and in RED with Bruce Willis. Since 2020, McMahon has played the main character on the spin-off series, FBI.

Leo Wyatt — Brian Krause

Gregory has had this condition since the age of 9. And together with his sister, Mercedes, they play in a band called MD Says.

Penelope Halliwell — Jennifer Rhodes

Unlike most actors from Charmed, Jennifer Rhodes was already famous for her work in movies and series. After the series ended, she continued to work and appeared on an episode of The Mentalist, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. She’s divorced and has no children.

Patty Halliwell — Finola Hughes

And in 2013, she debuted as a director with the movie, The Bet. She has also directed Byrd and the Bees. Together with her husband, Russell Young, she’s raising 3 children, 2 of which were adopted.

Mr. Sunshine — Ron Perlman

Since 2001, after Ron Perlman was on Charmed, he continued acting and starred in 2 screen adaptations of Hellboy, TV series like Sons of Anarchy, and movies, like Pacific Rim. He also did voiceover work for Fallout, Halo (both 2 and 3), Tangled, The Book of Life, and Adventure Time.

Jason Dean — Eric Dane

When he appeared on the second season of Grey’s Anatomy, viewers liked Eric Dane so much that he continued to be a regular on the show until 2012. And since 2019, he’s been on the series, Euphoria, with Zendaya. You might have seen him in Marley & Me, Valentine’s Day, and X-Men: The Last Stand.

When finishing this article, the author even shed a nostalgic tear. All because, as teenagers, the author and her friends would eagerly wait for new episodes and watch them together. The author liked Phoebe and Paige most of all. Did you watch Charmed? Which of the sisters did you like the most?
