Embracing self-confidence and feeling at ease in our own bodies doesn’t always have to break the bank, yet many cosmetic procedures and plastic surgeries come with significant costs. At 50 years old, Kelly Beasley, a woman from the United States, took the extraordinary step of selling her home to finance her transformation. Despite the financial sacrifice, she is convinced that every penny is a worthwhile investment.

In her late 40s, Kelly Beasley reached a turning point when she realized she was no longer satisfied with her appearance. “Around 48, my face started dropping fast. The changes were astounding. Fillers were not going to make a difference,” she shared. Determined to find a solution, she began exploring cosmetic options and eventually considered a procedure commonly known as a facelift. However, the price quotes she received were overwhelmingly high, leaving her to contemplate how to make it a reality.

She chose to go under the knife in Mexico, where the surgery was more affordable, costing 14,000 dollars. Beasley also put up her home for sale as a “cushion,” so she could use the money to pay for the procedure. Although the surgery lasted for 4 hours, Kelly Beasley revealed she felt no pain after, and there was only a slight discomfort. But she had to wear a “face bra” for a couple of weeks and wait to recover before she could actually see the results.

However, according to Kelly Beasley, the procedure was completely worth the wait and the financial sacrifices. “The results are beyond what I expected — I didn’t expect to look younger,” the woman explained. “People say I look in my 30s. I’m loving my look and looking my most fabulous that I can.”

However, not everyone agreed with Kelly’s decision. While some applauded her for taking charge of her happiness, others questioned why she felt the need for surgery at all.

  • Now this 50 year old looks like a 45 year old. Bargain!
  • What a waste of money, The 2nd pic looks different as she is wearing oodles of make up. Any woman can do this with the minimum of cost.
  • She doesn’t look any different apart from that she is wearing makeup and there is a filter on the ’after’ photo. I bet she looks very plastic in real life too. Good luck living in a van!
  • She looks great, but its not worth selling your house to redo your face. There are so many non invasive and cheaper ways to have a better and youthful skin ( Botox, skin tightening, etc.) and also working out and eating healthy. All this would have taken some time, but at least shes keep her house.

Despite the mixed opinions, Beasley stands by her choice and has become an advocate for embracing plastic surgery. “I’m going to do what I want to do. Why not live the most fabulous life? Part of that for me is having plastic surgery,” she affirmed.

Kelly Beasley has long been a passionate traveler, and living in a van instead of a traditional home has proven to be an unexpected advantage. As a full-time solo traveler and blogger, Beasley can immerse herself in her global adventures while documenting her van life journey. Additionally, she enjoys the benefits of her youthful appearance, thanks to the facelift she chose to undergo.

Kelly Beasley said: "If we do too much, we’re vain or insecure. If you don’t do anything, wear make up or do your hair, they say “you’ve let yourself go. It’s exhausting. I’m going to do what I want to do. Why not live the most fabulous life? Part of that for me is having plastic surgery.”

Although that decision cost Kelly her home, it has granted her so much more. She is now relishing her new appearance and the opportunities her transformed life has brought her.

There is nothing wrong with altering your appearance through plastic surgery, as long as the decision is made thoughtfully and without haste. After all, the results of such procedures don’t always lead to happiness for everyone.
