Show business is a space where everyone is being judged about how pretty and how thin they are. That’s why many stars feel the pressure or are being told straight in their face that they need to have plastic surgery and botox. And while this is entirely their right to do, it’s not okay when they do it because they feel that they are not enough as they are. Thankfully, there are many actresses who don’t let that pressure get to them.

1. Gillian Anderson

When fans began to discuss Gillian’s youthful complexion after the release of the X Files reboot, the actress said that she didn’t care what other people said about her. She knew she didn’t do any plastic surgery, and that was that.

2. Rachel Weisz

Not only does the 52-year-old actress not want to get cosmetic work done on herself, but she also believes that anti-aging injections should be a big no-no for other actors. She noted, “[Botox] should be banned for actors, as steroids are for sportsmen.” Weisz added, “Acting is all about expression; why would you want to iron out a frown?”

Weisz also believes that looking flawless can make a person lose a part of their charm. She noted that, for her, people "who look too perfect don’t look appealing or particularly beautiful.’’

Jodie Foster thinks that modern society makes women transform themselves according to fashion standards. The actress is against plastic surgery and she isn’t afraid of wrinkles. “It’s not my thing. I don’t have anything against it for other people. Whatever they want to do, I’m fine with it. For me, it’s really a self-image thing. Meryl Streep always says that she’s against plastic surgery. “It’s not just women. You’d be amazed at how many men in this industry have gone down that road. I just don’t get it. You have to embrace getting older. Life is precious, and when you’ve lost a lot of people, you realize each day is a gift.”

The 47-year-old actress and TV host noted, “I’ve never done anything to my face and I would like to try not to.” Barrymore further explained that she’s afraid that if she starts with one injection, she wouldn’t be able to stop, and this is why she’d rather stay away from procedures altogether.

And when it comes to others who have decided to get work done, the actress had this advice to give: “Let go and give in to the ride of life a little bit more.”
