8 Actors Recreated Iconic Movie Scenes — and the Results Are Absolutely Stunning

Trends often fade quickly, but the craze of recreating old photos seems here to stay. A “then vs. now” collage can instantly transport us down a nostalgic memory lane. Celebrities have joined in too, showing off their creativity by revisiting classic scenes — and even inspiring us to rewatch some beloved films.

1. Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill

In 2014, Jonah Hill hosted the show Saturday Night Live, and during his opening monologue, he had a special guest, Leonardo DiCaprio himself. DiCaprio affectionately hugged Hill, and they started reenacting the unforgettable Titanic scene. Hill took on the role of Rose and asked, “Am I flying, Jack?” to which DiCaprio responded, “Yes, Rose, yes, you’re flying.” The audience loved it and laughs were scattered all around.

2. Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino

25 years after Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino starred in Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, the two actresses publicly reunited at the 2022 SAG Awards. The ladies donned matching suits in the same color scheme as their famous characters.

3. Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Garner

Ruffalo and Garner have recently wrapped up The Adam Project, whose plot revolves around time travel. For the promotion of it, the couple recreated an emblematic scene from the movie, 13 Going on 30. Despite the almost 20-year difference between the pictures, it looks like time stood still for the actors.

4. Christa Allen

For Halloween, the actress who portrayed the 13-year-old version of Jennifer Garner’s character, Jenna Rink, in the 2004 rom-com, recreated one of the movie’s most iconic moments.

She reenacted the scene, striking Garner’s signature poses and captioning it, “Jenna Rink forever 👛🌸💕✨#13goingon30.”

Wearing a replica of the striped Versace dress that Garner famously donned in the film, Christa Allen also shared additional clips featuring fans who dressed up as Rink for that year’s festivities.

5. Uma Thurman, John Travolta, and Samuel L. Jackson

Pulp Fiction was released almost 30 years ago and will always be considered a classic. One of the most famous dance scenes in movie history is the one where Thurman and Travolta showed off their dance moves in front of an audience. In 2022, during the Oscars, the actors recreated the scene, with Samuel L. Jackson joining in and making the trio complete again.

6. Catherine O’Hara

In the all-time favorite Christmas movie, Home Alone, Kevin’s mother, played by Catherine O’Hara, realizes they forgot the kid at home, and she lets out an iconic scream. As a tribute to the late filmmaker, writer, and director John Hughes, the actress joined other big names in the industry and recreated memorable scenes from some of his most notable movies.

7. Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington is most known for her smashing role of Olivia Pope in the TV show, Scandal, and she and Reese Witherspoon have a special bond. For Witherspoon’s birthday, Washington didn’t hold back and had a special surprise for her on-screen partner from Little Fires Everywhere. She recreated the iconic Legally Blonde scene and, if we might say so, she did it flawlessly.

8. Kim Kardashian

Kerry Washington wasn’t the only one to pay homage to the iconic film and its unforgettable scene. Earlier, Kim Kardashian also channeled Elle Woods’ Legally Blonde admissions video. In 2019, she revealed her Halloween costume on X, recreating a series of Reese Witherspoon’s most memorable looks from the hit 2001 movie.

Don’t miss our other article, where we reimagined celebrities as the opposite sex — and the transformations are absolutely jaw-dropping.
