A pair of twin sisters, JamieLynn and AmieLynn Finley, who were once joined together, have now been successfully separated through a long, grueling surgery that lasted for 11 hours. After months of intensive medical care, the family is finally able to celebrate the newfound independence of their daughters as they return to their home in Texas.

Amanda Arciniega and James Finley, parents from Fort Worth, Texas, welcomed their twin daughters JamieLynn and AmieLynn Finley into the world on October 3rd, 2022. Just three months later, the family made history as their conjoined twins underwent the first successful separation surgery at Cook Children’s Medical Center. This medical achievement has given the two little girls a chance at a more independent and fulfilling life.

After being separated for three months, the formerly conjoined twin sisters, JamieLynn and AmieLynn, were finally able to return home individually. The hospital had previously announced that JamieLynn was released on March 21st, while AmieLynn followed on April 7th. Recently, the family commemorated this joyous occasion by hosting a unique baby shower that was documented by Good Morning America. The event was filled with heartwarming moments and unforgettable memories for everyone involved.

Brianne Galban, a nurse who had been a crucial part of the medical team taking care of the twins during their stay at the hospital, was among the guests present at the special baby shower held in honor of JamieLynn and AmieLynn Finley. In an interview with GMA, Galban expressed her excitement at meeting the family and said that the twins had become a part of her family, too. “I love them now,” she admitted.

Regarding the progress of the twins, the mother, Amanda Arciniega, reported that everything is going well now that they’re out of the hospital and back home.

As for the father, James Finley, he expressed his feelings about his daughters’ journey in an interview with NBC affiliate KXAS-TV, saying that the surgery was only the first step. “This is kind of the beginning again,” he explained. “Surgery was one beginning and now we’re going home to another beginning.”
