New Fashion Trend: Celebrities Wearing Lingerie in Public

A new and bold trend is emerging in the fashion world, embraced by a select few individuals. Prominent figures are intentionally leaving their pants behind and showcasing stylish ensembles with only underwear as their bottomwear. Whether it’s wearing panties or briefs, with or without stockings, their confidence in rocking these daring looks is truly admirable. Take a glimpse at their fearless fashion choices and witness their striking appearances firsthand.

The “no-pants” trend is taking the celebrity world by storm.

While it may be seen as a fashion statement by some, the absence of pants in contemporary runway fashion has caused mixed reactions. The trend’s origin can be traced back to the rise of bike shorts as a popular style choice, which subsequently influenced celebrities in their wardrobe decisions. A recent notable instance of the “no-pants” look was witnessed at the 76th Cannes Film Festival in May 2023, when Irina Shayk turned heads by donning a see-through dress paired with lingerie and a jacket.

Emily Ratajkowski and Rita Ora have also supported this trend in a few of their official appearances. And while 2022 seemed like the year that this trend would die out, 2023 has proved that it’s still going strong out on the streets and on the runways.

One of the most iconic appearances came in September of that year, when Kylie Jenner showed up at Loewe Paris fashion week wearing just briefs on top of stockings.

Since 2022, this sort of outfits has been a rather common sight at public events, with Riverdale-star Camila Mendes portraying another one of these moments, as she came out with a similar daring look at a different fashion event, in February 2023.

Beyond red carpet events, celebrities are embracing the no-pants trend in their everyday lives as well. An example of this is actress and model Julia Fox, who made headlines in May 2022 when she was spotted grocery shopping in her underwear. A year later, she further pushed the boundaries by pumping gas while sporting only briefs from the waist down.

Fashion trends come and go and we are glad that we won’t be seeing some of them. But with some others it’s nice to see how men break all stereotypes and start wearing skirts and how the beauty standards are starting to change drastically.
