Hannah was born with a rare bone disorder, a genetic disease that makes her bones fragile. Her life has always felt like walking a tightrope, yet this courageous young woman has fulfilled her makeup aspirations and moved everyone around her, inspiring us to be warriors and never give up

A rare hereditary disorder that impacts her bones.

Hannah Tyre is a 30-year-old woman from Georgia, USA. Like many women her age, she has several hobbies, and makeup is one of her favorites. However, unlike most people, she follows a different lifestyle, and her daily routine often needs adjustments because of a rare genetic condition she has had since birth, osteogenesis imperfecta.

“I literally just say, like, I have brittle bones disease, meaning that my bones just break very easily,”
Hannah explains as she tries to describe her rare condition.

Osteogenesis stops the body from forming strong bones; it appears in several types, each bringing its own difficulties. Its signs and symptoms can range from mild to very serious, yet it can influence an entire life and the way we handle daily activities.​

Hannah, like many others with this condition, depends on specialized equipment to help her manage everyday tasks. Hannah says, “The biggest challenge in my disease is always trying to look for places that are handicap-accessible.”

Hannah’s life is relatively stable thanks to the unwavering support of her family, who have been by her side since she was born. “I need help to get dressed during the day and to get in and out of my wheelchair or bathing,” she continued, "sometimes it frustrates me I can’t be more independent."​

Hannah’s mother plays a crucial role in her life and has devoted herself to her daughter ever since they first learned about her condition. Cindy, Hannah’s mother, remembers how young she was when Hannah was born and how shocked she felt discovering that her baby had broken bones.

Thanks to her passion for makeup, she has connected with millions of people.

Despite the challenges created by her disabilities, Hannah stayed committed to her love of makeup, which allowed her to build her own social media presence and reach millions of people. Since she began posting videos, she has managed to touch the hearts of everyone who watches her.​

Beyond raising awareness about her disability, Hannah shows that you do not need to fit a specific image to feel beautiful, but rather need to uncover your own beauty. She said, “Blogging has definitely given me more confidence, making me realize I can do many more things, and it improved my self-esteem.”

Hannah may find it hard to get through each day, and even something as small as a sneeze can be dangerous. However, showcasing her makeup to her followers while wearing it has helped her face these challenges and find comfort in the process. "I don’t think that I’m any different from anybody else; people with disabilities are not different.“​

Hannah said, “I wanted to show people with disabilities that you can do this too,” She stated. “I think it’s really awesome that the beauty industry is becoming more diverse and really showcasing different beauty, and I’m proud to somewhat have a little part to do with it.”
