12 Celebrities Who Acted Alongside Their Kid in a Movie, But Only a Few People Noticed

It’s only natural for kids to be interested in their parents’ line of work. We can only imagine that’s especially true when your mom, dad or both gain a living in make-believe, as is the case with actors. Either because of the child’s own fascination or because it was the best casting choice, some of our favorite movie stars have shared the screen with their children. Melissa McCarthy’s daughter Vivian Falcone actually was once on the set of the same movie. She played the younger version of Lydia in Thunder Force.

Tina Fey’s daughter Alice, who was 7 years old at the time, played a young version of Liz Lemon in episodes of 30 Rock. She appeared in a flashback scene where Lemon recalled her first wedding experience.

T’Chaka is a fictional character from Black Panther. John Kani portrayed this character and Kani’s son Atandwa played his younger self.

7. Annie Starke and Glenn Close in The Wife

In 2018, Glenn Close took the role of Joan Castleman in the drama The Wife. It was a story of a woman whose husband was chosen for the Nobel prize. The younger version of this character appeared in flashbacks played by Annie Starke, the daughter of Glenn Close.

Eva Amurri Martino is the daughter of actress Susan Sarandon. One of her first big breaks in the cinema industry was playing the younger version of her mother’s character, Sister Helen Prejean, in Dead Man Walking.

9. Iris and Maude Apatow and Leslie Mann in Knocked Up

The blonde curly locks might have given away that the 2 little daughters of Leslie Mann’s character in Knocked Up were actually her real-life children. The girls were also cast alongside their mom later on in Funny People and This is 40.

10. Lily-Rose Melody Depp and Johnny Depp in Yoga Hosers

Johnny Depp shared the screen with his daughter Lily-Rose Melody Depp. She was 15 years old at that time and it was in the comic-book film Yoga Hosers.
