As kids, we probably asked the adults around us all sorts of questions. And, to our amazement, they always knew the answers. As adults, we stumble upon interesting things we don’t know the purpose of less often, but figuring it out has become more challenging. Answer: “It’s likely a UV-C sterilization lamp. It kills germs/viruses as they pass by. It also can help prevent mold and whatnot from building up on the coil.”
“They were sent to me from Rome, Italy, unasked. There are 8 of these in 2 different sizes.”
Answer: “These are motorcycle front axle covers.”
“Found in family member’s workshop; appears to be cast steel or iron, hand for scale.”
