Rumer Willis revealed that her famous father, Bruce Willis, doesn’t always recognize her when she comes to visit, as he continues his battle with dementia.

“I’m so grateful that when I go over there, and I give him a hug, whether he recognizes me or not, that he can feel the love I’ve given him, and I can feel it back from him. That I still see a spark of him, and he can feel the love that I’m giving,” she said.

Rumer mentioned that she often brings her 23-month-old daughter, Louetta, when she visits her father. She said she cherishes these moments with him, appreciating the chance to share love and connection as a family.

After a supporter online asked how her dad was doing, Rumer responded that it’s a difficult question to answer, explaining that anyone living with FTD (frontotemporal dementia) generally faces serious challenges. She added that “He’s doing okay, in terms of somebody who is dealing with frontotemporal dementia.”

The actor’s family and friends continue to support him through his illness.
