Model With Giant Birthmark Shares Her Journey to Self-Love

Lizzo just shut down New York Fashion Week — and she did it looking almost unrecognizable. The Truth Hurts star showed off a dramatically slimmer figure, leaving jaws on the floor with her bold new look.
At Christian Siriano’s Spring/Summer 2026 show, Lizzo strutting in a racy brown chiffon corseted halter bodysuit, paired with a barely-there sheer black chiffon wrap skirt, commanded the runway crowd’s full attention. Her look screamed confidence, proving she knows exactly how to steal the spotlight.
On her feet — strappy black sandals. No accessories, no distractions — just Lizzo and her transformation on full display. She also ditched her usual hairstyles for something fiery: a sleek, long burgundy mane that turned the entire moment into pure drama.
The star-studded audience, which included Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Patricia Clarkson, and Heather Graham, were a great company to make an iconic photo with.
This comes just weeks after Lizzo opened up, admitting she’s proud of her progress: she’s “a fan” of the changes and isn’t afraid to show them off. “I like how I look now. I still think I’m big. I’m still wearing plus-size clothing. I have the same rolls. I got the same belly, the same thighs — I think I’m just a smaller version,” Lizzo shared.
During her candid chat on Trisha Paytas’ Just Trish podcast, Lizzo didn’t hold back about how she finally dropped the weight — and it came down to breaking free from her old vegan lifestyle and taking control of her eating habits.
“When I was vegan, I was consuming a lot of fake meats, I was eating a lot of bread, I was eating a lot of rice and I had to eat a lot of it to stay full,” she confessed. She admitted the so-called “healthy” diet was actually leaving her constantly hungry and bloated. The switch happened when she stopped filling her body with substitutes and turned to real, whole foods.
Fans were quick to react to such a stunning Lizzo’s look. One person said, “I didn’t even recognize Lizzo! She looks amazing.” Another one added, “She looks great, good job!”
But not all people were supportive. Some criticized her, saying, “What happened to the ‘body positivity’ grift she was pushing for years?” There were also comments with kind of fashion advices, “That couture completely missed the mark — unattractive and forgettable. A timeless A-line dress would have carried true elegance and made the real statement.”
Recently Lizzo stunned onlookers with a dramatic transformation at the 2025 Met Gala, turning heads as she returned to the iconic steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in a striking new look. The singer wore a dramatic black-and-white gown designed by Christian Siriano. The floor-length creation featured a plunging neckline and hugged her figure perfectly, blending elegance with bold sophistication.
According to Siriano, the custom piece was completed in just three days and included three layers of corsetry. He noted that the gown had “not an ounce of stretch in anything in this fabric and probably 200 seams,” emphasizing the meticulous craftsmanship behind the show-stopping ensemble.
Siriano emphasized how important it was to “celebrate [Lizzo’s] curves,” and the result was a powerful fashion statement that aligned beautifully with the event’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
The theme honored the legacy and impact of Black fashion, particularly the style of Black dandy men, and the role of clothing in shaping Black identities throughout the Atlantic diaspora.
To finish her look, Lizzo wore dazzling diamond jewelry, including a thick bracelet, several rings, and long, sparkling earrings. She also carried a vintage-style, extendable holder, adding a touch of old Hollywood glamour.
For the event, Lizzo rocked platinum blonde hair styled in soft, shoulder-length waves, which had heads turning. Her makeup featured a bold smoky eye and dark lipstick, giving her look even more drama and elegance.
Her brutally honest confession proves one thing — Lizzo isn’t afraid to tear down the glossy myths of “perfect” diets. She’s living proof that sometimes the most shocking transformations happen when you stop following the rules — and start listening to your body.
