Carolina Herrera exudes timeless elegance and natural poise, which has defined her fashion empire for over 30 years. Her inspiring ascent in the competitive fashion world began when she established her eponymous brand in New York. Today, Carolina’s esteemed fashion collection, including a bridal line, luxurious fragrances, and exquisite accessories, can be found in numerous stores worldwide, contributing to her remarkable success and substantial revenue.

She gave up jeans, mini-skirts, and bikinis.

The designer shares her personal preference, stating that she opts not to wear mini-skirts or bikinis as she believes they are more suitable for younger individuals. She also expresses her view that wearing jeans after 30 may not align with her style. While her statements have sparked varied reactions among her female colleagues, fashion choices are ultimately subjective and should be based on individual comfort and self-expression.

The designer thinks women over 40 look ridiculous with long hair.

Carolina Herrera has expressed her belief that women over 40 should opt for short hair, as she considers it more graceful and fitting for their age. She explained, “A woman must age graciously and not try to be an age she’s not, or she will look ridiculous. I see many women in the street and, from the back, they look very nice with their long hair and their little skirts. But when they turn around — aargh, they’re ancient!”

But her daughter doesn’t believe in rules.

Carolina Herrera and Carolina Herrera de Baez stand as distinct individuals, each with her own remarkable identity. The second one is a daughter of the former, assumes the mantle of creative director for Carolina Herrera Fragrances, infusing her own innovative essence.

In the world of Carolina Sr., authority melds seamlessly with design mastery. Conversely, Carolina Jr. exudes a distinct charisma; her endearing quirks are unfazed by an unraveled bun or the unconventional pairing of earrings. Amid her virtuous demeanor lies a tantalizing hint of rebellion, that adds to her enigmatic allure.

Carollina Jr. shared: "“I think all rules are meant to be broken. A life full of rules is sort of no life, but at the same time you have to remember that there are consequences. That is what I always tell my kids- you can break every rule I make, but there is a consequence!”

She believes that as time passes, women should evolve and embrace change.

Carolina firmly believes that trying to appear youthful actually ages a woman. She emphasizes the significance of cultivating one’s personal style as they age, stating, “I don’t believe in trends because trends make it look like you’re wearing a uniform. Some item of clothing comes out — and suddenly everyone looks the same.”

Many celebrities have their own rules of beauty, aging or style. Some openly share their secrets to upgrade fashion game. Others tell how to look better and steal the spotlight. Or even how to turn back the aging clock.
