“I Love You,” John Travolta Dedicated Heartfelt Words to Kirstie Alley, With Whom He Shared More Than Just Work
Kirstie Alley died in December 2022 at the age of 71. Her passing was a tragedy not only for her family, but also for the many colleagues with whom she had built warm relationships. For example, John Travolta dedicated touching words to Alley.
She was a good person, and at the same time, she was an icon. Many fans, family, and friends have begun paying tribute to her: “Our mother’s zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren, and many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and left us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did. We thank you for your love and prayers and ask that you respect our privacy at this difficult time.”
John Travolta was not just her colleague, but they became friends when they played an on-screen couple in the comedy Look Who’s Talking in 1989, and they have remained close since then.
“Kirstie was one of the most special relationships I’ve ever had. I love you, Kirstie. I know we will see each other again.”
At the time of the movie, Kirstie was married for the second time, but she later admitted that she had fallen in love with John. She described him as the “greatest love” of her life. But she had to resist and control her emotions, which was tricky. She explained, ’’Believe me, it took everything that I had, inside, outside, whatever, to not run off and marry John — and be with John for the rest of my life.’’
Another tragic event occurred this summer as Shannen Doherty lost her years-long battle with cancer.
