Meeting your favorite artist or public figure and taking a picture with them is something most people dream about. But the problem is that not every celebrity enjoys taking selfies or even signing autographs. Some of them try to avoid it at all costs and others just refuse anyone who asks them. They do have their very good reasons though.

1. Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus may have been one of this world’s biggest stars for years now, but it seems that she dislikes taking pictures. “I get embarrassed to take pictures. That’s actually the truth. I’m so embarrassed, because people are taking pictures of me, and I just don’t know how to- I don’t know how to smile, and just be awkward, so I stick my tongue out, because I don’t know what else to do.”

2. Billie Eilish

The young singer-songwriter finds signing autographs frustrating, and for good reason. She has noticed that many of the autographs she has signed end up being sold online, and she would much rather connect with her true fans through a hug and a conversation rather than simply signing something that can be monetized. However, she is still happy to take selfies with fans who genuinely care about her.

3. Chris Pratt

The actor is not a fan of taking pictures with fans, as he believes that they often use the pictures to show off to their friends. Instead, he offers a handshake, but sometimes fans will still try to snap a picture even after he has declined. He has learned that it’s okay to disappoint people and not always give them what they want.

The celebrated actor is willing to sign autographs, but he draws the line at taking selfies with fans. When a woman once asked for a photo, he politely declined but still enjoyed chatting with her. He values real conversations with fans over superficial encounters.

5. Amy Schumer

The comedian had a negative experience with a fan who demanded to take a picture with her, and since then has only agreed to take pictures with people who are nice to her. She refuses to take pictures with anyone who makes her feel uncomfortable.

6. Emily Blunt

The actress enjoys talking to fans when they want to say how her work has affected them and their lives. That is of course when she is now spending time with her family. However, she will not take pictures with fans since she finds it meaningless.

7. Jennifer Lawrence

Just walking down the street, the actress might have at least 1 person that asks for a selfie and her answer nowadays will be “no.” It’s not because she wants to be rude to anyone, it’s just that this is her way of keeping sheltered. Her job puts her under the spotlight and she feels that she needs to keep a level of privacy as much as she can.

8. Justin Bieber

The world-famous singer recently posted on Instagram that he will no longer take pictures with fans because he feels like a zoo animal and wants to maintain his sanity. He understands that some people will be disappointed, but he does not feel like he owes anyone a picture.

9. Emma Watson

The Harry Potter star has decided to stop taking photos with fans due to safety concerns. Instead, she interacts with fans and answers their questions about the beloved series.

10. Maisie Williams

The young actress is unapologetic about not always wanting to take pictures with fans. She believes that true fans would want to spend time with her, rather than just get a picture with her for the sake of it. She is not there to meet anyone’s expectations and is comfortable saying no to pictures when she wants to.

11. Jonah Hill

The famous actor is known as someone who doesn’t sign autographs and if fact seems that he hates it. Instead, he will hand out a business card to those who seek his autograph.
