We often forget that our moms were young once, even though we love them deeply. But sometimes, when we come across their old photos, we can’t help but stare in amazement, mouths open, admiring how beautiful they were. It’s a reminder that before becoming “mom,” they had their own stories, dreams, and adventures.

“As far as her skincare routine, she makes her own stuff that is mostly coconut oil, beeswax, and whatever other carrier oils she has, then tea tree or whatever else she thinks will work. We call it ‘Mama’s magic.’ We use it for our hands, lips, face, and my sisters have used it for diaper rash on their little ones. Nothing special, but simple is usually the best anyway!
She also makes kefir every week and starts every day with it. Thanks to her, my dad will be living a long, healthy life as well.”

We often don’t realize how important it is to have a good relationship with our mom until we become moms ourselves. It’s then that we truly understand her love, sacrifices, and worries. Those moments help us appreciate her more and see things from her side.
