7 Trendy Appearance Changes People Often Regret

Throughout history, women have always tried to look more attractive. Today, when the beauty industry is at its peak, it’s not hard to do. But the result is not always what you expect it to be.

Microblading

On the one hand, microblading is very comfortable: you do it once and then renew it just once every several months. But the quality of the procedure really depends on the artist. If the eyebrows end up asymmetric, you won’t be able to get rid of this look for quite a long time.

• I got mine done 3 years ago, and while they looked amazing when it was done for about a year and a half, by now the ink has not disappeared but faded. Eyelash extensions

Eyelash extensions are a standard and harmless procedure if some rules are followed. Don’t wear the extension for too long. It’s better to do them on occasion.

According to eye doctors, eyelash extensions can lead to slower growth of natural lashes or even loss of them. Another danger is dry eye syndrome. Before the procedure, you need to check your allergic reaction to the glue the lashes are attached to the skin with.

Tattoos are a normal and regular thing. And experienced artists can create true masterpieces. With tattoos, people can hide scars and cosmetic skin problems. The most important thing is to choose what you really like and not what is popular just today.

This is a very popular procedure people started doing in the previous century. The acrylic layer itself is not harmful, but it’s important to let your own nails rest from it. The acrylic surface doesn’t protect the nails from damage, but the nails become thin and fragile.

Costume contact lenses make the eyes look completely different. They are harmless if you buy them after visiting an eye doctor. You can buy such lenses only from certified manufacturers, or you may do some serious damage.

• I’ve used contact lenses for more than 15 years. Once, I decided to order a pack of costume lenses from a company I’d never heard of before. I had to remove them several minutes later. I felt like there was some sand in my eyes. I had to wear eyeglasses for a week.

Permanent makeup

Permanent makeup is a great idea for people who are allergic to beauty products. But the main disadvantage is obvious from the name. You can only remove it with a laser. This is why you should only get it if you are sure the artist is good.

• My aunt and a family friend got permanent makeup in their 20s (eyeliner, eyebrows, and lip liner). By the time they were close to 40, it was looking pretty wonky and dated. Now they’re both close to 60 and look laughable. Fillers are jelly-like substances for soft tissue. They are very popular among women that want to make their lips fuller or change the shape of the chin. You should know that the procedure is quite painful without anesthesia which is not for everyone, and the filler itself may act in an unpredictable way.
