Some people tend to think that an actor’s job is quite easy, but there’s so much hard work that often goes unnoticed. In actuality, their work hours can run up to 20 hours per day, which is truly exhausting. With so much time spent on set, there are, of course, lots of interesting stories that happen there. They can show our favorite celebs in a completely new way.

We at Now I’ve Seen Everything prepared the most interesting cases right here.

There’s no question about Stephanie Beatriz’s devotion to her craft because, aside from making a film while she was pregnant, she also recorded Mirabel Madrigal’s song while having contractions. Interestingly, the track’s title was “Waiting on a Miracle,” and the actress happened to have her own little miracle on the way.

Beatriz said that on the day they were scheduled to record the song, she was in labor but didn’t want to alarm the Disney producers. So she went in with her fingers crossed and hoped to finish the song before the baby arrived. The film’s director, Byron Howard, admitted that they knew she was due soon, but they had no idea it was that close. Beatriz gave birth to a healthy baby girl the very next day.

2. The friendship of Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves started on set.

Winona Ryder’s 30-year-long friendship with Reeves started on the set of Dracula in 1992. She revealed that when the movie’s director, Francis Ford Coppola, ordered Reeves to make Ryder cry during a scene by being mean to her, Reeves flat-out refused, which has been clearly a bonding experience between the 2 stars.

Also, during a 2018 interview to promote Destination Wedding, Winona gushed about her co-star, admitting that Reeves was “the best.” And when asked what makes the star the best, she answered, “He’s one of my favorite people to work with, to be around.” She added, “I knew the movie would only work with someone who I really have strong chemistry with, and I’ve always felt like we did.”

The accomplished actress, Susan Sarandon, recalled in an interview how during the filming of a movie, she only got equal pay to her male co-stars because Paul Newman gave her part of his salary. According to the actress, there was an agreement with the producers that all the leading actors would get equal pay. “But they only meant the 2 guys,” she stated.

Nevertheless, Newman’s actions were praised by Sarandon, who called him a “gem.”

4. Tom Felton had a sweet tooth on the set of Harry Potter movies.

Even though Draco Malfoy appears to have hands in his pockets in this scene, it’s not actually so. Tom Felton’s habit of taking food in his pockets made the wardrobe department sew his wizard robe’s pockets (that used to be huge) after the filming of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. The actor admitted that it was true, and he also mentioned that other actors followed his example too.

5. Michael Rooker fell asleep while filming Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2

By the end of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2, Michael Rooker’s character sacrifices himself to save Chris Pratt’s character. Right after that emotional scene, a touching eulogy saying goodbye to a beloved character takes place. In this scene, Michael Rooker is laid down in the dark, with his colleagues around him, and he just falls asleep, profoundly snoring through the scene.

James Gunn said in a live Q&A session: “He didn’t fall asleep once. He fell asleep 10 times.”. Michael himself tried to explain: “I fell asleep each take. I can fall asleep anywhere. It was a very relaxed environment. The lights were low. They had candles going. It was almost romantic.”

In the movie, Michael Ironside’s character, Richter, is the antagonist to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s fictional persona, Quaid. But when the cameras stopped rolling, the 2 actors are actually were good friends. According to reports, Schwarzenegger noticed that Ironside was often on the phone in between takes, and he eventually learned that his co-star’s sister was extremely sick.

Ironside told Schwarzenegger that he was sad about not being able to talk to his sister (there were no Internet and cellphones at that time), and the former bodybuilder offered to help. They went to his trailer where he had a phone, and Ironside shared that he got emotional when he heard Schwarzenegger genuinely expressing his concern for his sibling. It was that moment that cemented their friendship.

7. Keanu Reeves loves giving gifts.

Bullock had once mentioned to her co-star that she has never had truffles in her life. After hearing that, Reeves came to her house a few days later with flowers and truffles.

As an extra touch, the actor designed the car to have features that referenced Captain America. The car appeared on an episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, which showed the customized beauty on their social media.

10. Leonardo DiCaprio was very nervous during a kissing scene in The Wolf of Wall Street.

Talia, the 9-year-old dancer, remembers that she was at the hot chocolate station when they were asked to return to their starting positions.

As she was walking, there was a car moving, which she didn’t see, but the iconic Dolly Parton noticed what was going to happen, so she grabbed Talia and moved her out of the way. The dancer recalls that she was stunned and grateful to the singer.

Natalie Portman talked about how Hemsworth knew she was vegan, so he stopped eating meat for a day because they had a kissing scene.

Portman thought that was very sweet of her co-star, especially because she didn’t ask him to do it, but still, he decided to be a great friend and overall person.

14. Jim Carrey suffered with his make-up while filming How the Grinch Stole Christmas

The Mission Impossible film series never fails to deliver heart-stopping action scenes, and its fourth installment contained some of the most harrowing stunts Tom Cruise has ever done. His spy character, Ethan Hunt, had to scale the world’s tallest building — the 2,722-foot-high Burj Khalifa. To complete the stunt, Cruise climbed a series of elevators and an estimated 200 feet of ladders to get to the top.

Reaching the structure’s peak is no ordinary feat, so Cruise made the most out of his time up there. He was quoted saying that he crawled over to the side to sign the names of his kids and Katie Holmes (who was still his wife back then), and he finished the markings by writing that he loved them. Talk about setting the bar really high!
