7 Movie Scenes Where Actors Weren’t Acting but Felt It in Their Bones

Without a doubt, the work of actors can be quite strenuous. In many cases, they must prepare for months to meet the necessary conditions to play certain roles, and there are even times when they must show strong emotions in certain scenes. For this, they need the help of the directors, who have tricks up their sleeves so that the actors can express their true feelings. This allows them to get the best out of each shot.

Now I’ve Seen Everything wants to reaveal the secrets behind some incredible scenes that stood out for showing the real reactions of the actors.

1. Georgie Henley (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe)

Andrew Adamson, the movie’s director, decided not to show the little actress the scenery that was built for the world of Narnia. So, when Lucy passes through the closet, she actually steps out into a fascinating snowy forest for the first time. In this way, the little girl’s reaction to seeing the magical world is genuine.

2. Chris Langham (Life of Brian)

In the scene in which the patrician pronounces his friend’s unusual name to the soldier, the latter barely manages to contain his laughter. The soldier was played by an extra. He was not warned about what would happen in the shot, but simply asked not to laugh.

3. Kate Winslet (Titanic)

In the movie there is a scene in which Rose goes to look for Jack and moves through the flooded corridors of water. The water was brought from the Pacific Ocean, so it was very cold. When Kate Winslet dives in for the first time, she sighs very loudly and sharply from the cold. This moment remained on the tape.

4. Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis, Jaeden Martell and the rest of the kids (It)

Before filming the garage scene with the projector, the actors had not been shown Bill Skarsgård in makeup and costume.

Therefore, the moment the unfortunate children first see the creepy clown in the projector, they get really scared. In this way, we see real thrills of terror.

5. Tom Hiddleston (Thor)

The role of the god Odin was given to the magnificent Anthony Hopkins. He had the opportunity to show his talent in the episode of Thor’s expulsion from Asgard. The director allowed the actor to improvise. As a result, we got a powerful monologue from Odin, which later evoked many emotions from the people on the set. In particular, from the actor who played Loki. In this scene, you can see his eyes fill with tears, and it wasn’t an act.

6. Tom Felton (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets)

There is a funny moment at the end of the second Harry Potter movie, where Professor Dumbledore praises Hagrid in the great hall. Then, all the students stand up and applaud. They all did, except for the Slytherin students, who were sitting with disgruntled faces. However, out of habit, Crabbe, one of them, stood up and started to clap, but Draco Malfoy, who was near him, pulled him.

The thing is that this scene was not written in the script. Actor Jamie Waylett forgot that he didn’t have to stand up. Therefore, Tom Felton annoyingly pulled his partner so he wouldn’t ruin the shot.

7. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix)

Harry, Ron, and Hermione are in the Gryffindor common room discussing the kiss that took place between Harry and Cho Chang. Hermione delivers a big lecture about feelings and ends with the line, “Just because you’ve got the emotional range of a teaspoon.” This was in the book and in the script, but it sounded so ridiculous and hilarious that the three of them started to really laugh at the end of the scene.

If you had the opportunity to appear in a movie, in which scene would you pick?
