While some individuals believe humor knows no boundaries, certain jokes can come across as unkind to others. This is exactly what occurred with Amy Schumer, who recently shared a post featuring Nicole Kidman, which quickly turned sour.

Amy posted a picture of Nicole on her Instagram with a “funny” caption.

Amy Schumer seems to be creating memes centered around celebrities’ reactions to the U.S. Open tennis tournament, and one of her targets was Nicole Kidman.

In an Instagram post that has since been removed, the comedian shared an image of the actress sitting in the stands at the event. The caption for the photo read, “This how human sit,” as reported by the media.

In the photograph, Kidman is depicted watching the match with her hand resting beneath her chin.

Many fans called Amy “mean”, but there were also some who came to her defense.

Despite Amy creating the post in what appeared to be good humor, it swiftly attracted negative comments from individuals who accused her of being unkind to the actress. Shortly thereafter, she deleted the post.

One person commented, “Bringing others down is always a sign of our own internal insecurities anyway, so the critics here should hold a mirror.” Another comment read, “Mean girl, Amy, shame on you!!!”

On the other hand, there were supporters who rallied behind Amy, highlighting that her post was meant in jest. One user commented, “She’s a comedian. Comedians make jokes. Calm down.” Another recommended that a critic “ease up,” while someone else bluntly stated, “Take. A. Joke.” A fan chimed in by simply saying, “It’s a joke.”

Later Amy had to apologize for her post.

Following the deluge of comments, Schumer promptly removed the photo of Nicole and issued an apology in a subsequent post, which she later deleted too. In her apology, she appeared to make light of the situation by suggesting she had shared the photo of Kidman because she thought she resembled “an alien.”

“I want to apologize to all the people I hurt posting a photo of Nicole Kidman and alluding to her being an alien,” the comedian remarked.

By the way, this isn’t the first instance where Nicole Kidman has had to confront humiliation. Not too long ago, the actress openly discussed the challenges she encountered while filming intimate scenes.
