Selena Gomez Shows Off Her Confidence and Beauty After Facing Body Shaming Criticism

Selena Gomez dazzled us with her beauty and grace at the 80th Golden Globe ceremony, where she rocked a stunning red-carpet look. But not everyone appreciated her flawless style and radiant smile, and some people had the nerve to criticize her appearance. Gomez didn’t let these haters get to her, though. She responded with positivity and wit, and showed us why she is a true role model.

Gomez made the red carpet event even more special by bringing along her 9-year-old half-sister Gracie, and the pair looked absolutely adorable as they posed for the photographers. Gomez also wowed us with her stunning black gown that featured a thigh-high slit and violet puffed sleeves, which accentuated her gorgeous curves.

But some internet trolls couldn’t handle her beauty and confidence, and they made rude remarks about her weight.

Gomez didn’t let the body shamers get her down, and she clapped back at them with an Instagram Live video featuring her sister, Gracie.

Gomez said, “I’m a little bit big right now because I had fun during the holidays.” She then asked her sister, “Right?” And Gracie nodded in support of her big sister. Gomez continued, “But we don’t care,” and the duo laughed it off.

Gomez showed us how to handle negativity with humor and grace, and she set a great example for her sister and millions of other girls and women. She taught us that loving your body and feeling comfortable in it regardless of your size is what really counts. After all, self-love is what makes you shine from within.

And this is not the first time Gomez has dealt with body shaming. Back in April 2022, she, once again, shut down the critics about her shape, saying that being skinny is not worth giving up her favorite foods. Gomez added, “I am perfect the way I am.” And we couldn’t agree more.
