The Reason Why Kristen Bell’s 5-Year-Old Is not Ready to Give Up Diapers and How This Shapes Her Unique Parenting Strategy

Bell even hosts a show called Momsplaining, where she chats with guests about the challenges of being a mom in today’s society. Bell and Shepard crossed paths in 2007 and tied the knot six years later, in 2013. Just before saying “I do,” they welcomed their first child Lincoln Bell Shepard. They’ve faced many highs and lows but are still going strong for their family. A year after their nuptials, they added another daughter to their clan, Delta Bell Shepard.

Although this Hollywood duo is very discreet about their kids’ identities, they also share their stories as parents of 2 little girls. When asked about her kids’ privacy, the actress said, “I chose a career in the public eye.” She added, “I don’t know if they will want that. So I don’t have the right to choose for them.”

However, Bell and Shepard don’t hesitate to talk about their relationship and parenting journey. In 2020, The Good Place star revealed in an interview how she deals with important topics with her kids.

One of the important topics that came up was Santa Claus. The actress said, “I love Santa,” but when her daughter asked if the white-bearded man was real, Bell confessed, “I had no choice but to be honest with her.”

Kristen mentioned in her podcast that her 5-year-old daughter still wears diapers.

On her podcast, Momsplaining, Bell recounted, 3 years ago, a story she had with her 2 daughters about potty training. “My oldest daughter, at 21 months, we just suggested that she use the toilet in the other room. Never wore a diaper beyond that.” But with her youngest daughter, it was a different story.

“Currently, my youngest is 5 and a half. Still in diapers.” Bell confessed that everything depends on the child because “every kid is so different.” Soon after this remark, Bell and Shepard revealed in an interview that after potty training every night, their daughter Delta finally said goodbye to diapers.

Their efforts finally paid off, but the actress added, “I think it’s normal, and no one should feel ashamed if their kid has a different pace for potty training.”
