The tradition of exchanging gifts at Christmas goes back many centuries ago and more specifically in Ancient Rome. And while so many years have gone by and so many things have changed in the world, the need to give gifts has remained the same. It is a good opportunity to get together with friends and family and show them with this nice gesture how much you care for them. And some people try and succeed in being funny and ironic about it.

1. “Each year my brother and I compete to give the hardest to open birthday gift. This year I’ve wrapped his gift in concrete.”

2. “Told my boyfriend I was getting him a burger for Christmas.”

3. “I used wrapping paper to make a bike for my girlfriend.”

4. “I was gifted Coca-Cola recipe cards for Christmas.”

5. “How else would you wrap a Board Game?”

6. “USB-Stick.”

7. “I thought my dad got me the best present ever for a minute.”

8. “I wrapped my nephew’s gifts like Super Mario blocks.”

9. “Snowman giftwrap. The head and body are hollow styrofoam and hold the presents. Added a scarf and hat for decoration.’”

10. “Battle Axe, but actually a rolled map in a tube.”

11. “My BF (of nearly 10 years) and I exchanged gifts today and this was the ‘gift’ he gave me.”

12. “Family Christmas has taken an unexpected turn.”

13. “I got this glass skull that glows under UV light for Christmas.”

14. “My dog and I got matching socks for Christmas.”

15. “Got my girlfriend’s parents a gift for Christmas, and decided to wrap it like this.”

16. “My daughter is obsessed with horses, but I can’t afford to buy her one. Bought her a gift card for riding lessons and wrapped it like this.”

17. “Got a couple of cyber trucks for Christmas.”

18. “How I wrapped a pack of mints for my nephew.”

What is the gift traditions at your house? Do you exchange gifts and if you do, do you try to be creative with how you wrap them?
