1. He has the utmost respect for women’s personal space.

• Fans have noticed that Keanu makes a point of not hugging or holding his female friends by the waist when he poses for a photo with them. He simply puts his arm behind them and leaves it suspended in the air, without touching them, as men do in some Asian cultures. People found this so sweet so they call Reeves “a respectful king,” and continue to congratulate him for paying so much attention to these details.

2. He is involved with a number of charitable organizations, but he never brags about it.

• Over the years he has donated millions of dollars to children’s hospitals and various cancer foundations, but he is very modest about his actions. In addition, the actor supports different charities where he tries to help improve the quality of life of underprivileged children. He also funds and supports important causes, such as creative arts, education, the fight against child hunger, human rights and the defense of animal rights.
• He auctioned off 15 minutes of conversation with him on Zoom. The main goal wasn’t just to chat with his fans. Keanu is actually working with a children’s cancer charity called Camp Rainbow Gold, and the money raised for this camp goes to help little ones in need of treatment. The auction opened on June 15 and closed on June 22, 2020.

3. He is truly generous.

• A family friend builds movie sets, he doesn’t design, he is one of the poor dudes that just builds. Anyways, he worked on the set for the Matrix and Keanu heard about family trouble he was having and gave him a $20,000 Christmas bonus to help him out. He also was one of the only people on set that genuinely wanted to know people’s names, would say hello and mean it, and would talk to people as they were his peers and not below him just because they were practically making nothing but build a set. 4. He behaves like a gentleman.

• Keanu shows his respect for women not only when taking pictures with them. He was once filmed sitting on a subway train, where he saw a woman getting on with a big bag. The actor didn’t hesitate and offered her his seat. The video went viral, which made more people fall in love with him (again)!

5. He keeps calm in difficult situations.

• In December 2019, the actor was on a flight from San Francisco to Los Angeles, but his plane had to make an emergency landing at Bakersfield Airport in California. The landing was due to a mechanical problem. While this was happening, people managed to film some Instagram stories that showed Keanu talking to a staff member and then taking the initiative to help passengers get to their destinations. Later, the passengers and Keanu continued to chat as they were transferred into a van.

6. He appreciates the handicrafts made by his fans.

• Once when Reeves was in the middle of filming the third Bill & Ted movie, he saw a sign made by one of his fans that read, “You’re awesome.” Keanu jumped out of the car, knelt down and left his autograph on the sign.

• I work in downtown Los Angeles and was walking with my coworkers to grab lunch and saw a bunch of trailers and saw some guy by himself with his hat low but just enough to see his face. Timidly went up and said hello and told him I love Speed and John Wick and basically everything he’s ever done. He was very quiet but seemed thankful to meet me. 9. Even when he has been working long hours, he stops to greet his fans.

• My boyfriend works next to Gold Coast Studios and they were filming part of John Wick 3 there. Knowing how much of a fan I am, my boyfriend tried for days to get a picture of him but kept missing him. Then one day, he and co-worker “Elle” were the only two out there and they were told that Keanu wasn’t coming out. As they were walking away, suddenly there he is! Boyfriend said that the poor guy looked utterly exhausted and just DONE. At that point he’d been filming for about 7 hours and apparently it was a lot of action sequences. At first he kept walking and very clearly didn’t want to be bothered by fans, and Boyfriend and Elle were turning around to leave him be when he stopped, Keanu waves them over, and let’s them each take a picture with him. • I was on vacation with my family in Paris and we had just climbed the Eiffel Tower. When we came back down my mom swore she saw Keanu go into a trailer nearby and she got super excited. She went and knocked on the trailer door and a man that was definitely not Keanu came out. My mom asked if Keanu was in the trailer and he said yes but Mr. Reeves had had a long day of filming and was very tired. And then Keanu comes out and is like “No no it’s fine, always nice to see some friendly faces”. • A friend of mine told me that she was once stranded on the side of a highway outside LA when her jalopy broke down. She had no cell phone (that was before most people had cell phones) and no way to call for help. Then a nice black porsche pulls over and as you can guess, it was Keanu. He tried to help her jump start the car and when it didn’t work, he called AAA for her. When they towed her car, he offered her to drive her home, which she accepted. He drove about 50 miles out of his destination just to drive her home. She told me she hoped he would hit on her but he didn’t, he was just a gentleman, dropped her at her house, gave her his phone number and told her to call him if she needed further help.. © lovemyax / Reddit

• Back in the late 90s and fresh out of college I got my first job as an assistant prop designer on the set of Chain Reaction (Keanu was a supporting actor with Morgan Freeman). EVERY DAY for the last few weeks of filming, Keanu treated the stage hands and “grunt workers” (including myself) by taking us out for free breakfast and lunch. • Keanu makes no secret of his passion for the film industry or his work. In May 2019, he cast his handprints and footprints in cement and left his signature on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
