A few years ago Australia had the worst bushfires in our history. Our 8 yo son wanted to donate his entire bank account to the bushfire victims. We tried to say for him to save some for himself as it was years of xmas, birthday and extra chore money. He said "but mummy they have nothing" He donated the lot.
